Description
Cartalax, also known as AED peptide or T-31, is an ultrashort synthetic tripeptide composed of the amino acids alanine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid.
It is primarily studied in laboratory models involving cartilage biology, connective-tissue maintenance, cellular ageing and gene-expression signalling. Preclinical research has examined the AED sequence for its potential influence on mesenchymal stem-cell activity and chondrogenic differentiation—the process through which cells develop into cartilage-producing cells.
