Bacteriostatic Water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which helps inhibit bacterial growth after the vial has been opened.
It is commonly used as a diluent for reconstituting compatible lyophilised research compounds. The multi-dose vial design allows repeated withdrawals when handled using appropriate sterile procedures.
